先日の子育てサポートへ朝日町にある「ハチ蜜の森キャンドル」の安藤さんが遊びに来てくれました。20分間の英語レッスンのあと、安藤さんから蜜ろうについてお話を伺い、それから蜜ろうを使ってハンドクリームを作りました。作りながらお伺いした安藤さんのお話は、大変興味深い事柄ばかりで、参加者の方々も「へ〜」「なるほど」「え〜んだのが〜」という驚きの反応ばかりでした。ご参加いただいた皆さん、ありがとうございました！ 次回安藤さんをデコボコ英語にお迎えするのは、3月16日に行う「やまがたの蜂について学び、狩り蜂の家をつくろう」です。 「蜂って怖い」「いたら追い払うか、つぶす」なんていう「蜂」に対する考え方が、180度変わると思います。やまがたの蜂とうまく共存するためにはどうすればいいのかを、英語で学んでみませんか？
This January, we were joined by Mr. Ando, of Hachi no Kandoru, for an informative and exciting Kosodate Support session. After a very educational presentation, Mr. Ando taught us how to make our own hand cream from all natural ingredients. As we put together our own unique creams, Mr. Ando talked about the various uses and dangers of bee wax products, which was quite an eye opener for everyone who took part. Mr. Ando will be back at Deko Boko Eigo on March 16th for a Kindergarten/Elementary school student workshop designed to teach about bees in Yamagata, the role they play in the food chain, and how we can help protect our often misunderstood, but absolutely vital honey-making friends, by making a Bee Hotel for our own gardens.
