Deko Boko Eigo loves Halloween!
We covered our classroom with ghosts and spiders, got dressed up, and had a spooky Halloween party with all our friends.
We talked about the history of Halloween, carved Jack-o'-Lanterns, played some party games, and had a tea party. Happy Halloween folks! ゴーストや蜘蛛の巣に囲まれながら、仮装した子どもたちとパーティーを楽しみました。お化けカボチャ作りやゲーム、それからティーパーティーも楽しかった！
Eating with All 5 Senses
五感で食べよう

Dr. Katsura Omori from Yamagata University came and taught us about how each of our 5 senses (sight, hearing, touch, smell, and of course, taste) are used when eating. We also learned about the different tastes (sweet, salty, bitter, sour, and umami). We did some experiments, and made many different flavours of popcorn. We had a wonderful time, and learned a lot about our amazing senses. 山形大学の大森 桂さんをゲストにお招きし、私たちが食べているとき、どう五感を使っているのかを、いろんなアクティビティを通して教えていただきました。また、異なる「味」についてポップコーンなどを使って学びました。普段はあまり気にしないけど、実はしっかり五感を使って食べているんだと、子どもたちも興味津々でした。桂さんありがとう！

Merry Christmas, friends! We talked about Christmas around the world. Have you ever heard of Krampus? Do you know where French children find presents on Christmas morning? We do now! We also played some festive games, and made some really cute tree decorations, before enjoying a slice of galette des rois (made specially by MOCO-CHOCO, and yes, it's a little early, but forgive us) with a nice warm cup of mulled wine, and finishing up with a few Christmas stories.
Thank you all for coming, have a very happy holiday! メリークリスマス！ クランプスって何？フランスではクリスマスストッキングがない？え？じゃあどこにプレゼントが入ってるの？ など、世界のクリスマスについて学びながらゲームをしたり、オーナメントを作ったり、それからモコチョコさんのガレットデロワを、ノンアルコールのモルドワインと一緒に頂きました。
