来年平成31年の干支である「イノシシ」をモチーフに、年賀状を自分たちでデザインするというワークショップを、杉の下意匠室のお二人がリードしてくださいました。子どもたち自身が描いたイラストや文字をどのようにデザインし、一枚のはがきサイズに収めるか。また、これだ！と納得のいくものを作り上げることができるか。お二人から助言をいただきながら、それぞれが試行錯誤し、作業していました。最後は、自分の作品のどこがポイントなのかを発表し、お二人からフィードバックをいただくという大変実りのあるワークショップでした。芸術の秋を感じるそんな素敵な時間でしたね。 杉の下意匠室の鈴木さん、小関さん、ありがとうございました！できあがりが楽しみです！ Our good friends Mr. Koseki and Mr. Suzuki of Suginoshita Ishoushitsu came to Deko Boko Eigo to give us a lesson in design, just in time to create the perfect New Year's postcard (Nengajo). We first talked about the animals of the Chinese Zodiac, in particular next year's animal, the wild boar, and then we got down to designing. We drew many different kinds of wild boar, and then chose our favourite parts from all of our drawings to put together the final image.
Once we had decided on our final project, Mr. Koseki and Mr. Suzuki photographed and put a few digital touches onto each design to give us a rough idea of the final product. Finally, everyone talked about the main focus of their own designs and got some feedback from the masters.
Everyone did an amazing job, and created some truly lovely Nengajo for their family and friends. Thank you all for coming, especially our wonderful and cool special guests, for such a great designing experience!
